Running Schedule for Beginning Runners

I kicked around the thought of running for months prior to ever having my feet hit the pavement. So, what finally motivated me to get off of the couch and run that first day? "Just sign up for a race," was the advice I received from a fellow casual runner. Well, I call him a fellow runner, but in all actuality, I had not run in years. I did just that, and it worked. After several months off from running this time around, I am doing it again by signing up for a 5k near Springfield, Ohio on October 10th.
